1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using the Montessori World website (montessori-world.com) and services, you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.

2. Description of Services

Montessori World provides:

• Membership programs for individuals, schools, and daycares
• Montessori training courses (diploma and certificate programs)
• Educational resources and materials
• Community forums and networking opportunities
• Professional development webinars and workshops

3. Membership Terms

3.1 Membership Types

We offer three membership categories:

• Individual Fellowship: $40 per year
• School Membership: $95 per year
• Daycare Membership: $95 per year

3.2 Membership Period

Memberships are valid for 12 months from the date of activation. Annual fees are non-refundable except as required by law.

3.3 Renewal

Memberships do not automatically renew. You will receive notification before your membership expires with instructions for renewal.

3.4 Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate memberships for violation of these terms, fraudulent activity, or abusive behavior.

4. Course Enrollment

4.1 Enrollment Process

Course enrollment is subject to acceptance by Montessori World. We reserve the right to reject applications that do not meet our requirements.

4.2 Payment

Course fees must be paid according to the agreed payment plan. Failure to pay may result in suspension of access to course materials and resources.

4.3 Refund Policy

• Full refund if requested within 7 days of enrollment and no course materials have been accessed
• 50% refund if requested within 30 days and less than 25% of course content has been accessed
• No refunds after 30 days or if more than 25% of course content has been accessed

4.4 Course Completion

Students must complete all required assignments, observation hours, and assessments to receive certification. Courses must be completed within the specified timeframe.

5. User Accounts

5.1 Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account.

5.2 Accurate Information

You must provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and keep your account information updated.

5.3 Account Sharing

Individual accounts may not be shared. School and daycare memberships may create up to 10 staff accounts.

6. Intellectual Property

6.1 Our Content

All content, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, images, videos, and course materials, is the property of Montessori World and is protected by copyright and intellectual property laws.

6.2 Limited License

Members are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use our resources for personal or internal organizational use only.

6.3 Restrictions

You may not:

• Reproduce, distribute, or sell our materials
• Modify or create derivative works
• Share login credentials or course materials with non-members
• Use our content for commercial purposes without written permission

7. User Conduct

You agree not to:

• Violate any laws or regulations
• Infringe upon others' intellectual property rights
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users
• Post inappropriate, offensive, or harmful content
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
• Use automated systems to access our services
• Impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation

8. Community Guidelines

When participating in forums, discussions, or community features:

• Be respectful and professional
• Stay on topic and relevant to Montessori education
• Respect others' privacy and confidentiality
• Report inappropriate behavior to moderators
• Do not spam or post promotional content

9. Disclaimers

9.1 Educational Purpose

Our courses and resources are for educational purposes. While we strive for accuracy, we make no guarantees about employment outcomes or professional success.

9.2 No Warranties

Services are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service.

9.3 Credential Recognition

While our certificates and diplomas are recognized by many Montessori institutions, we cannot guarantee acceptance by all schools or organizations.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Montessori World shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use or inability to use our services.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Montessori World from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your violation of these terms or misuse of our services.

12. Modifications to Services

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of our services at any time without notice.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.

14. Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable international education standards and the laws of the jurisdiction in which Montessori World operates.

15. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these terms shall first be addressed through good faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes may be submitted to mediation or arbitration as mutually agreed.

16. Severability

If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
