Who can join Montessori World?

We welcome everyone interested in Montessori education, including parents, aspiring teachers, current educators, schools, and daycare centers. We offer different membership levels to suit various needs.

Is Montessori World accredited?

Our courses and programs follow internationally recognized Montessori standards and are accepted by many Montessori institutions worldwide. We maintain high-quality training aligned with authentic Montessori principles.


Membership Questions

What are the membership options?

We offer three membership types:

  • Individual Fellowship - $40/year: For parents, enthusiasts, and aspiring educators
  • School Membership - $95/year: For Montessori schools and educational institutions
  • Daycare Membership - $95/year: For daycare centers and preschools

How long does a membership last?

All memberships are annual (12 months from activation date). You will receive a renewal reminder before your membership expires.

Can I upgrade my membership?

Yes! You can upgrade from Individual to School or Daycare membership at any time. We'll prorate the fee difference for your remaining membership period.

Are membership fees refundable?

Membership fees are generally non-refundable. However, if you're unsatisfied within the first 30 days, contact us to discuss your options.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express), PayPal, and bank transfers for institutional memberships.

How many people can use a school/daycare membership?

School and daycare memberships include up to 10 individual staff accounts, allowing multiple team members to access resources and training.


Course Questions

What's the difference between the Diploma and Certificate programs?

The Diploma Program (12-18 months, 400+ hours) is comprehensive professional training for aspiring lead teachers. The Certificate Program (6-9 months, 150+ hours) is an introductory program for parents, assistants, or those exploring Montessori education.

Do I need teaching experience to enroll in courses?

No teaching experience is required for either program. We accept students from diverse backgrounds who are passionate about Montessori education.

Are the courses online or in-person?

Our courses are primarily online with live virtual sessions. The Diploma Program includes required in-person practicum hours at a Montessori school.

How much do the courses cost?

  • Diploma Program: $4,500 - $6,500 (varies by specialization)
  • Certificate Program: $1,200 - $1,800 (varies by type)
  • Members save 20% on all course fees!

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes! We offer monthly and quarterly payment plans for both programs, as well as a discount for paying in full.

Will my certificate/diploma be recognized internationally?

Yes, our credentials are recognized by Montessori schools and associations worldwide. However, we recommend checking with specific institutions or regions for their requirements.

What are the admission requirements?

Requirements vary by program:

  • Diploma: High school diploma (Bachelor's preferred), minimum age 21, application, references, interview
  • Certificate: High school diploma, minimum age 18, basic computer skills

Can I work while taking courses?

Yes! Many students complete our courses while working. We offer part-time options and flexible scheduling to accommodate working professionals.

What is the practicum requirement?

Diploma students must complete 180+ hours of supervised practicum in a Montessori classroom. We assist with placement arrangements. Certificate students need observation hours only (40+).

After your membership is activated, you'll receive login credentials via email. Log in to access the member portal with all resources, forums, and webinars.

School and daycare members can create a profile in our directory, including your location, programs offered, and contact information. This helps families find Montessori schools in their area.

What is the member badge?

The member badge is a graphic you can display on your website to show you're a Montessori World member school/daycare, building trust with prospective families.

Can we add or remove staff accounts?

Yes! You can manage your staff accounts through the admin portal, adding or removing team members as needed (up to 10 total).

What if our center has more than 10 staff members?

Contact us about enterprise options for larger institutions. We offer custom packages for schools with more than 10 staff members.
